Merry Christmas to everyone out there. It's been a wonderful Christmas so far spent with my family and parents. It's such a treat to see my youngest enjoy opening presents and actually getting it..lol. Also to see my oldest freak out because he got the perfect present from Santa. :) The best part was going to church with my family celebrating the true reason for the season as they say that Jesus Christ our Savior was born to save us, to forgive us of our sins to be with us always in life everlasting. Knowing the Lord is with me and my family and everyone else out there is the biggest gift of all. I have had a busy couple of weeks preparing for the holidays and working at a full time job. I made some cards for co-workers and friends. Also made some birthday cards. Hope everyone out there enjoys their day!

Two Birthdays,Home Dec and more Christmas cards! Whew~
Boy have I been so super busy! My youngest son Shane and my mom both had birthdays this past week...My baby turned 3 omg!! and my mom well I won't tell her age but she had a birthday too! We don't have much money lately so I made her present this year. I took one of those $1 wood frames from Michaels and altered he heck out of it! She is into western decor so this is what I did. She also likes frogs so I made her a Hoppy Birthday card....cheesy I know but cheesy is so pleasy!! (on a side note don't put a real frog near her she will totally freak out!!) When i was younger I would come home from school to these poor lizards or frogs that somehow got into our house under a cup or bowl waiting for my placing outside....lol....I have also been working on some altered stars this is another way I have been doing them. Straight Decopage..they are for our Christmas trees or just general decor....Proud Texans :). I have also been working on some more Christmas cards. I was trying something different with the Silent Night Holy Night card I was working with rub ons that i think they put just a little to much glitter. I had these old Thomas Kinkade stickers so i put that to use. It's ok not my best but it will do. I also tried my hand at "Shabby" not my favorite style but hey sometime you have to go out of your own comfort zone. This one is for a family of musicians at my church so I thought the music paper was perfect, it was too perfect so I had to beat it up a little. :) I have plenty more to do and it is getting so close to Christmas..YIKES! Better get a move on! Thanks for checking out my blog if anyone is..lol....:)

Wow 2 layouts!
So I actually had time to do some serious scrapbooking this weekend. I used sketches from Julie Bonner at http://www.52sketches52weeks.com/ you should really check it out! The first is sketch 44, this was perfect for the photo I had of my son at his Chef school. The second layout is of my youngest, believe it or not these are cell phone pictures and I love them. I used sketch 45 for that one. Last but not least I made a card for a very old and dear friend that just found out her eggo was preggo so it was a perfect excuse to make a cute card. :) TFL!

The card I made today made with black cardstock and pretty flowers. I added some hand stitching too which takes me a long time because well. I admit it, I don't sew! Lol..you think I would since my my is a quilter. Nope got Dad's genes I like paper, pens and paint. :) I love the way colors pop of black. No wonder it's one of my favorite non colors...:)
